Touch Cooling

R134A refrigerant (same as in your car's A/C) can carry 5500 times more heat than the same volume of air. By circulating refrigerant through a flexible cold plate on top of a 1U server, all the heat can be removed without large temperature differentials. Coolant can be 30^oC or more and still deliver adequate cooling.
